can't get it off my mind!!
i took 10/06/12 and that date will either live in fame or infamy for me for a very long time. i'm a retaker from june 2012 and i scored a 166 that day, which for me was a major disappointment. i've been dreaming about top 5 for a few years now like many of you guys and now that it's done, i can't focus on anything. i know its only been 2 days but i'm at the lab right now and i just cant focus on any of my experiments and in the morning i was prepping for a big meeting and all i could do was think about how i did.
coming out of the test, i was really happy about the first 4 sections and then my 5th was LG and of course zoning really annoyed me. but coming out i was smiling and saying yeah, that was a good test. now that ive read all the posts about various LR questions and that some people think some questions had some sneaky tricks in them (like the salt road policy question, modular sofa, and some others) i'm starting to really question myself! i was PTing 173 avg for the 7 tests leading up to test day (pt 60-66). lowest in that set was a 170, highest was a 175.
can you guys tell me how you are coping? thanks for any and all support

was there really a sneaky trick for the 'salt-road policy q?' Seemed straight-forward to me, but then again I probably got it wrong

Don't worry about it man. We're not even allowed to talk about questions specifically, so you don't know what problems people had with LR. Their problems might not be yours, at all. They could have had a really silly problem with a question. So you're literally getting upset about problems you don't even know exist.

You could second guess every question, but what good would that do? There were sneaky things on all the PTs as well but you did well on those. If you felt good leaving the test, chances are you did well. Worrying won't improve your score, everything will be ok, so have some fun.tekumamba wrote:CardozoLaw09 wrote:was there really a sneaky trick for the 'salt-road policy q?' Re: can't get it off my mind!!
the salt road q and the sofa q seemed very easy to me. One thing I learned in my prep was that lsac was not designing questions that were conspiring against my sensibilities. When I was able to remind myself of this, difficult questions that seemed to have multiple possible answers suddenly became easy. If certain answers required a proactive assumption on my part versus other answers that did not, I knew to go with the one that did not. Equivocations could fuck you up here, but I don't recall having any issues with those either.

I think the main thing is not remembering exactly what the question said. I thought it was easy but then the more and more I thought about it I am not sure if I got it right.Taus11 wrote:this question was ez as shit guyztekumamba wrote:CardozoLaw09 wrote:was there really a sneaky trick for the 'salt-road policy q?' This would be why I stayed off TLS from the time I left the test center until I got my score haha. If I were you all, I'd work on the PS or do something useful rather than hurting my brain trying to remember what the questions said.

This. Late in the game I started to realize this too.abdistotle wrote:the salt road q and the sofa q seemed very easy to me. Re: can't get it off my mind!!
thanks for the support everyone. i definitely haven't been able to remember very many questions, and the only ones i really remember are the ones that people are talking about on tls. i decided to leave lab early and i went to the gym and i think i just had the hardest workout of my life. i got home an hour ago and just made some chicken curry and dhal and i think im just going to spend the next month eating right and getting fit.
i really didn't think sofas was complicated and then a few people on the oct waiting thread mentioned it was tricky or something and now i have stupid doubts. y'all are right it's over. i really appreciate your help guys! 3 weeks of calm. i hope we call beat our goddamn averages. cheers

I thought LR was super easy, and no trick questions, maybe I did bomb it though but I doubt it.
There was one concern with equivocation in the answers on a question and that time debating between the two answers, but I chose the one that had no equivocation.

This is a reminder that 1) you're not allowed to discuss post-LSAT questions with specificity; and 2) there are LSAT personnel who monitor the boards to ensure compliance.sinfiery wrote:Meh. I didn't like that question . . . (salt)
