PT 67:
RC: -4
LR: -7
LG: -6
LR: -6
77/161
This is what I thought i got in October. Zones got me again but my games are generally pretty good so I'm not that worried (mauve dinosaurs didn't seem that bad this time) and I'll do timed LR sections tomorrow. I know I'm getting nervous during LR and I don't know why. I was nervous in the beginning of the second section and got 4-6 wrong which should be pretty easy questions. My PT range is 160-167 (there was a 156 but I'm calling that a fluke and it was 3 weeks ago anyway) and my average is 163...hopefully the third time's a charm otherwise I may wind up studying for the GRE's and looking at starting law school much later than I'd like.

So what is everybody planning on doing the rest of the day? I have tomorrow stuffed, with a PT, gym, and driving to my hotel, but as of right now I'm supremely bored.

Re: December 2012 Re-takers
Ah.... oh dear.
PT 63:
xLG (PT 55): -2
LR1: -1
LG: -2
LR2: -6... the first time I was scrambling to finish a LR section since May. At least 3 of my mistakes were a result of this.
RC: -4... 3 of them clumped (2,3,4) in the first passage.
88 CR for a 168. My lowest PT score since the October test itself.
To say this isn't how I wanted or expected my final PT before December to go is a giant understatement. I'm kind of shell-shocked by how the last two sections went. LR2 was just an implosion of epic magnitude, and I haven't ever hit a 3 question wrong streak in RC before.
Do I just review the test, do some drilling and hope for the best, or should I take another PT tonight in an effort to restore my confidence?

Re: December 2012 Re-takers
Still trying to get games kung-fu back. So definitely redoing games from PT 58-63ish (again). Need to re-review some stuff in Manhattan LR too. I'm gonna try to do 66 but I'm not sure that'll happen.Lenahan3 wrote:So what is everybody planning on doing the rest of the day? Had to bring out the big (Canadian) guns last night, http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fT-aEcPgkuA, but I did get my motivation back.

I agree al. Don't worry about it. The important part of PTs isn't to gauge how you'll do on test day, it's to find where/why you're making mistakes and fix them.Wormfather wrote:Take another PT rain...its an anomaly.

Soooo who is taking a PT tomorrow? I'm taking PT 66 in the morning, just 4 sections. Resting tonight with movies and food.

Someone tell me now if PT 55 sucks and if I should pick another test...

PT 55 LG was relatively simple. I took it as my xp section today.enidwexler wrote:PT 55 tomorrow morning and a full dress-rehearsal.Lenahan3 wrote:Soooo who is taking a PT tomorrow? I'm taking PT 66 in the morning, just 4 sections. Resting tonight with movies and food.

Re: December 2012 Re-takers
Anybody work 9-5 and want to give me tips on how you're prepping these last few days? I've taken 2 full PTs this week with several timed sections interspersed. I'm thinking 1 more PT after work tomorrow with some specialized RC prep?

I am just going to do some drilling. You are crazy for doing a PT the day before the test, though, I can see where you're coming from.Lenahan3 wrote:So what is everybody planning on doing the rest of the day? Today is my crazy day-- I did a full PT earlier, then I am going to visit the test site, then do another PT (I have to get my testing strategy down). Then, if I have enough energy, I might do some general drilling. *shrugs*

I wouldn't worry too much about it, Rain. I flubbed PT 65 this morning - 166, ugh. I'm just telling myself that today's low score was anomaly. It's much better that this rare mishap occurred a few days before the actual test than on test day itself. I know I'm capable of scoring much higher on test day and that I somehow just had an off day today. My plan for today/tomorrow is just to relax, review old tests, do some logic games and get tons of sleep for the big day. I'm sure you'll destroy the real test come Saturday, and that's all that really matters. I mean, think about it, could today's lower score really be a more accurate reflection of your LSAT abilities than all the 170+ scores you've earned on other PTs? I think not.

I agree with Lan, it's pretty straightforward. Have you already used up the more recent tests? If not, I would recommend doing one of those instead-- they seem to be more nuanced, IMO.enidwexler wrote:PT 55 tomorrow morning and a full dress-rehearsal.Lenahan3 wrote:Soooo who is taking a PT tomorrow? Re: December 2012 Re-takers
PT 67, 66, 65, and 64 are all out - I've done them very recently. I've done the other 60's too, but just glanced over 61 and don't remember too much of it. Maybe that'd be a better one? I want one that will allow me to keep my skills sharp, but won't kill my confidence when I score it.SumStalwart wrote:I agree with Lan, it's pretty straightforward. Tomorrow PT66 (fresh) and PT67's Logic Games as an Experimental at the very end.
I wonder if PT 67's games are infamous or something? Especially the very last game. Hmm.
Also drilling LGs tonightish. I go -1/0 on all of em recently. Want to keep this up.
still have no confidence.
