Retake PT 63 from with an experimental LR from PT 53:

LR: -0
LG: -0
Ex. LR: -0
LR: -1
RC: -2 (both on the same passage, as usual).

178

Took it in a quiet place today for the first time in forever, just to make sure I wasn't becoming reliant on white noise.

Took PT 67 (got 163 for the official)

RC: -7 (original was -6)
LR: -3 (original was -4)
LG: -2 (original was -2....was supposed to get -0 but i screwed up completely on timing like on the real test)
LR: -2 (original was -8)

RC needs some improvement. I've improved, but I'm still slipping and falling for the same tricks. Just need better focus and to have a quicker pace on the test.

Totally fresh PT 36 today

LR1: -2
RC: -3
LR2: -2
LG: -2

All around blah.

92 credited responses for a 172.

Granted, I would be thrilled to get a 172 on test-day, but if I had locked down LG and gone -0, this would have been a 174, and PT personal best. Gotta lock those games downnnn. Both mistakes came in the Bus-seat game, which I totally initially blanked on.

Great job on a fresh test! I think the bus-game is one of the hardest games out there b/c there's like no inferences, all hypos.

Thanks brother. That's what I wanted to hear. I thought the game was pretty challenging, even though it initially seemed like a fairly standard ordering game.

When I made my name on the oct waiters tinychat thread (before I had an account here) it was guuuueest.
I didn't think about making sure it was the same when I made my account here. Just typed out guest in an annoying way so people would know it was me.

Had a totally horrible PT64 today...Really shit the bed on LG and RC. Think I was just rusty. I also got interrupted during both of those sections with 45mins - 1 hour of work, so that may have something to do it with the suckiness. A significant amount of my mistakes were just straight up misreads, so idk, I assume I'll do better on test day, but who knows. Traveling for work most of this week won't help either, but what can you do.

Anyone know where there are answer explanations for PT 67? Manhattan doesn't have it all covered.

I've come to the conclusion that there are too many geniuses on this forum. You would think that I would feel proud of getting a 172 on a strictly timed 5 section PT, a 99th percentile score. Instead I just feel mediocre and sub-standard, seeing Mrizza and Lenahan & Co. sprout off 178's and 180's like they are going out of style.

It hurts me. I just want to be like you guys. I want to be one of the cool kids too.

I meant answer explanations, not answer key.

Can anyone help me on PT 67, s2, # 20, s4, #18?

For S2, #20, C & D almost look identical. D has the "if true, establishes truth of conclusion" and I happened to pick that based on the fact that in the stim it talked about how "there could have been microbial life" with the conclusion as "life on Earth may have started"? Why is D wrong? Further clarification on wth D actually means would be nice.

Honestly I would take good or bad with huge grain of salt after getting interrupted during your sections. If anything makes sure to read slow on the real thing to catch little details. Also, even under ridiculously bad conditions you can still match your Oct. score, so hopefully things can only get better. Lena and Mrizza's scores are definitely intimidating but they are setting a good example to aspire to, and I've definitely upped my standards as a result.

Here's my dirty deets for the day:
Retook SPC @ B&N, over 1.5 yrs ago so feels decently fresh.
LG: -2 (Ok the Ziggurat game is stupid, its not a game, more like inferences only-which I remembered)
LR: -1
LR: -3
RC: -5 (some incorrect answers felt abit loose, not as logically tight as I'd like)
Scaled Score: 173

Sick of this crap, time for Vegeta to leave the hyperbolic chamber. No more loud cafe's, no more old tests. Final week is for copping dat confidence. Also, very concerned that my LG is worse than it was in October, might need to put RC on the backburner  .

Yeah, I'm not too worried, I really just want 1 more point anyway, I'm not aiming for a 175+. That isn't feasible with my work schedule this month. Most of my mistakes were reading problems. I definitely didn't feel focused today either. I think I'm gonna drill some LG too this week, just to make sure it's tight. Can't afford to go -3 on the real thing!

Seriously? What are you waiting for?

Now there's a charge.
