Authors Tone Questions

Post by nosleeptillsuccess » Tue Oct 02, 2012 9:44 am

I understand how to read for authors tone, but is there a particular website that has a list of vocab style words I can study like "unqualified approval" and such??

If someone has a file that has a list of these that I may study please send it :D

Sometimes I understand the passage, but the vocab in the answer choices throws me off :(

I don't really have a list, but "unqualified approval" is almost never the answer to any question because most passages have the author giving evidence for his argument.

Just don't pick extreme answer choices...

Haha I'll give it a shot..but I feel like one day of studying common types of A-tones could become useful.

I don't think there are so many words for tone. You will need to understand the arguments from the author to judge his/her tone. If you want to have high score, tracking arguments you must.
