any recommended pencils or pencil sharpeners....
Current pencil sharpener does not make my pencils really sharp. I see value in dull pencils for bubbling, but being able to write clearly through an LR section is nearly impossible without a mechanical pencil. I am willing to change pencils repeatedly as long as the points are sharp enough or I can find a pencil sharpener that gives me sharp points. This may seem over the top...but if you have the knowledge required to diagram each and every problem to garner the correct answer but dull points make you disinclined or unable to invest the effort in the moment, it can be costly. Thank you.

Pencil: mirado black warrior

Sharpener:

I just tried using these for a full length test today and it was great. I actually prefer it somewhat to a mechanical pencil. But I haven't tried anything beyond these.

That's a good sharpener, and I really like the way the Mirados write. The eraser kind of sucks, though. I would bring a few Dixon Ticonderogas (the black ones with the grey erasers) just in case. The actual lead is not as rich, but the eraser is a ton better.abdistotle wrote:I will order these today. Thank you and good luck studying

I use the big white eraser (hi-polymer) for huge fuck ups on LG but I got little versions - that you plug into the end of pencils - of the hi-polymer (which I can't find online but I bought from staples) for quick erasing because I don't find any of the regular erasers to be that great. These mirados look promising and I will be visiting staples to buy more of them if they turn out to be clutch

I use the exact same pencils and the exact same sharpener. They're great-- Definitely recommend these.kaseyb002 wrote:Pencil: mirado black warrior

I just used a single pencil for 2 whole LG sections without needing to sharpen once...I think I am in love with these pencils....

I've been happy with the Ticonderoga, but I hear the General Semi-Hex is supposed to be great. Seems to be only available online, sadly.
The Staedtler Mars Plastic erasers are the best--way better than the Pentel Hi-Polymer, IMHO. I tried some Staedtler "Rally" pencils that have white erasers, hoping the material would be the same. I was disappointed both in the pencil itself and in its attached eraser.
