How many practice tests did you take before your LSAT Forum

I'm just curious! Sometimes I feel like I am taking too many and my time would better be served doing sections or a smaller unit of questions.

I had no idea how to divide the poll up because I have no idea what is normal.

Almost everyone here has taken more than 10 (maybe not each straight through, but section by section).

I'd bet that the median on TLS is 25

Doing 3 PTs a week for a month puts one at already past 10 PTs.

Honestly, the more preptests you do...the more familiar you get with the LSAT. Everyone should be doing a shit ton of Preptests, if not fully timed tests then timed sections.

I think I've done 4 straight through with a timer. Not even going to try and figure out how many I've done if you add up all the sections I've chewed through. Really hope the ones I ordered arrive tomorrow, I can't afford to twiddle my thumbs all weekend.

All of them if you count timed sections. Around 25 full length test. Many sections I've redone multiple times.

Yaaa I probably did about 8--took it once--then took about 30 more and took it again. I would recommend taking more than you feel is necessary and then taking even more.

The thing is that there is no "striking a balance." Most people study like that. You really have to go big or go home, I think.

It takes a large amount of PTs before you really start identifying the patterns and executing really well. I think you have to give yourself a lot of time, take your time, take more PTs than you think are necessary, preserve, and really get those logic games down. And not necessarily in that order.
