Question regarding retakes and effects on application... Forum

Quick question...

Let's say I take the October 2012 LSAT.... and submit my application shortly there after...

Let's say I then decide to take the Feb 2012 LSAT in hopes of raising my score.

If the school makes a decision on my application prior to me registering/taking the Feb 2012 LSAT, will they re-visit my application once i send my Feb 2012 score? or no?

I have heard of that happening before. Don't know if it always happens across the board though.

I'm just worried that

a) my application will be too late if i submit in Feb. I mainly want to re-take in Feb to increase my chances at scholarships (my "goal" schools are ranked low, i just want to go for free....)
b) they wont review my application after they admit/waitlist/deny me, despite the fact I have a better score in Feb... For scholarships or otherwise...

Any advice/past knowledge would be so so helpful and very much appreciated

It's very, very rare. If a decision is made before you get a second score, for the most part you'll be relegated to reapplying next year.

But the application season for last year was wonky, and I'm expecting this year to be wonkier. So who knows?

What about purely being re-reviewed for scholarships?
