Logic Game changes June 2012?
I understand that the Logic Games now have two pages. Have there been any other changes to the logic games in terms of the types of games, new kinds of rules, etc?
I guess the big question here is are they giving you the more space because you are going to need it (ie: less intuition in answering questions, more plug and chug)?

The only thing unusual about the games was that they were 2 pages. Judging from this website I think I was the only person who saw it and went, "Oh great, on the real thing they give you more space." I don't remember taking up excessive amounts of space, but it was really nice to not have to cram all my work into one little corner of the page.

I was shocked at all the consternation. One of my students phoned me frantically after the test to tell me that there were extra pages. He was obviously frazzled, so I waited a second for him to tell me the bad part. After a moment or so of silence, he said, "Can you believe that?" I think I said something like, "And why exactly would this be a problem?" lolPsib337 wrote:The only thing unusual about the games was that they were 2 pages. Does anyone have an image where we could view the new games? I guess it's probably against the rules to ask/show material from the exam but I'd like to see what the new set up is like.

You know how some RC passages only have 4 questions on the second page and a bunch of blank space beneathe them? It looks just like that only on both pages. I really don't think it's as big a deal as people made it out to be.CyanIdes Of March wrote:Does anyone have an image where we could view the new games? You can just buy ptest 66 from LSAC for $8.CyanIdes Of March wrote:Does anyone have an image where we could view the new games? I guess it's probably against the rules to ask/show material from the exam but I'd like to see what the new set up is like.

Extra room!!! That's awesome. I'm jealous. I always had trouble cramming my giant handwriting into the space we had for hypos.

Well, there wasn't any drastic change starting in June, but yes, there has been a trend towards more plug-and-chuggy type games, which is probably part of the reason they're giving us more space. Don't freak out about it, just concentrate on efficiently diagramming hypotheticals. These are the types of games where you will really benefit from having hypos from previous questions assist you with later questions -- for example, if for question 1 you discovered that O could be in slot 3, and question 3 asks "which of the following cannot be in slot 3?" you can pretty easily eliminate O as an answer -- so you should learn to utilize your space for that.CardozoLaw09 wrote:Nope. I wasn't aware they were released yet, might be a good idea to go pick that up.flops89 wrote:You can just buy ptest 66 from LSAC for $8.CyanIdes Of March wrote:Does anyone have an image where we could view the new games? Ahhh dang, I'm terrible at "plug and chug" and whenever my instructors would tell me to keep the pencil moving I simply couldn't.

Oh thanks! I'm wondering what does this mean for diagrams. Is it on a seperate page or the back of the age? 1 page or 2 pages, so you could bend the paper to make all questions visible or do you have to flip back and forth?LSAT Blog wrote:You can see a picture of the new layout here:CyanIdes Of March wrote:Does anyone have an image where we could view the new games? Each logic game was on two facing pages, so no flipping required.CyanIdes Of March wrote:Oh thanks! I'm wondering what does this mean for diagrams.
