Did that turn out to be real? The Florida thing?
Yes, it did occur. The test booklets arrived back at LSAC but the answer sheets did not. Apparently they are shipped in separate envelopes for some reason.

http://www.wtsp.com/rss/article/243420/ ... etake-test

Don't stress about something like that happening, it was a very rare fluke. The 54 affected test takers were offered a specially scheduled make-up/do-over administration by LSAC (obviously a different test form) that was held shortly after the original February test once the answer sheets were determined to be lost. It was free of any additional fees if they didn't want to wait to take it again in June, along with some other options.

Somebody that was affected by it posted the LSAC email in a thread here after they received it.

Goldenflash19, no going splat off a building please, I'm tired of all the CSI episodes about those types of jumper incidents. It messes up the sidewalk and typically smashes the roof of somebodies car, no fun for anyone.

In Vegas you can celebrate and be unhappy and happy all at the same time and even get the feeling of falling off a building if your score report news isn't what you wanted.

Go to New York New York, ride the roller coaster, then late at night/into the morning (2-5am range) hang out at the Apple Bar that is near the lobby. There will be plenty of gorgeous girls wearing really expensive high class outfits sitting there that will hit on you and want to talk to you. Unfortunately though, they'll want something more that has a dead presidents faces on it after some friendly conversation to make it continue to make you really happy! I'm not recommending this, but it's a fact that many of the high class ones hang out there late at night/into the early morning when their 'biz' is slow and they're looking for clients. The ones there are typically pretty smart and good for interesting conversation at the bar for a while if you buy them a couple of drinks. When the convo is done (she figures out you're not going to hire her and wants to look for a potential customer), just part ways with your single serving friend and say goodnight.
Pretty epic post, haha. My friends and I were talking about New York, New York for one night and you definitely make it sound pretty crazy. I wouldn't really go as far as jumping off a building if I get bad news, but my night could definitely go in one of two extreme opposite directions. Plus, I'd feel really bad damaging a nice car. Thanks for the tip!

Ha ha ha, I don't think you'd feel anything after plunging down onto a car!!

New York New York is great. The rooms are big and lavish, good rates, good views, and it is at the best part of the strip to be able to easily walk to (or stumble to with a drink in your hand) most of the other cool places in minutes without having to pay for a cab.

It's the best hotel/resort I've stayed at in Vegas that is in the heart of the strip. It's classy, and of course you can behave like a crazed New Yorker without getting into any/much trouble!

If you haven't already, check out the room views and rates on their website. I paid twice as much as what they want right now for rooms one time for one night at a really crappy and dirty Motel 6 room near the airport due to the 'extreme circumstances' that occurred due to my ExGf I was with during the last time I was in Vegas.

Here's the link if you haven't already looked it up.

Have fun, play blackjack and don't hit on a 17.

New York New York looks really legit and is actually perfect for my first night in Vegas. I'm getting to Vegas a day before my group of friends arrive (they insisted at staying at the Palms) and want to just scope out the Strip by myself and experience Vegas at least a little bit without them driving me crazy. The price and the location especially are really good.

I can only picture "extreme" girlfriend circumstances in Vegas :/ Convincing a girl to let you go to Vegas is tough enough; I can't imagine having one with you when you're there haha.

Blackjack is my game. We only have 6 and 8 deck games at the casinos near me, so I'm really excited for some 1 deck games.

I heard schools get them a week early. Some not so well ranked schools have been e-mailing me. Is this a sign that they already got my score and it's not so good?

All the surprises I've ever had were negative. So let's not hope for any surprises. (Yes I know. Logical error - thinking what was once true in the past will be inevitably true in the future but trust me, no surprises is a good thing). I scored in mid 170s my last PT before taking this June test and I know I got pistol whipped by LG. I think I might have test anxiety but I've been so good at critical thinking, school related work, and just academics in general that it's hard to think I have test anxiety. I might get those pills or whatever and try with those.

Well if you look at how long it took for the previous June tests, you see the following:

Test Date________ Actual Score Release Date____Number of Days
June 14, 2004----------------July 2, 2004---------------------------18
June 6, 2005-----------------June 25, 2005-------------------------19
June 12, 2006----------------June 29, 2006-------------------------17
June 11, 2007----------------June 30, 2007-------------------------19
June 16, 2008----------------July 3, 2008---------------------------17
June 8, 2009-----------------June 25, 2009-------------------------17
June 7, 2010-----------------June 25, 2010-------------------------18
June 6, 2011-----------------June 27, 2011-------------------------21

The range is 17-21 days, with the average being 18.25 days.

June 29 may be more likely than a July date.

Not just counting days, you have to pay attention weather it is a Friday or Monday release. And don't know how useful is the old data, in the past three LSAT exams, results are released very close to the scheduled day.

test anxiety is very normal, during the LSAT my right hand is shaking the whole time. And I usually finish LG 5 minutes ahead but during the test I finished on time and guess two questions. That is just the process.

No. Law schools do not receive your score before it is released to you. I asked LSAC and received an official answer yesterday morning that the rumor is FALSE. Chill out and wait for scores to be released.

There is nothing you can do to change how you performed after the test has been administered or to affect which exact day your score will be released/reported/received other than making sure you have payed the required LSAC fees for the test and for your CAS report to be sent to schools you've applied to once scores are released and have also fixed problem(s), if any, that resulted in a hold being put on your LSAC candidate account that delays release of your score to you and/or to the schools you have applied to.

Stop listening to and believing things you hear from the rumor mill.

I created a profile just to tell you that I hate you for this. I need know nothing else about you. Cured cancer? Pft, someone was gonna do it. Killed Justin Bieber? Why brag? See where I'm going with this?
He's doing you a favor. If you expect scores to come that early you're going to be miserable waiting that entire time they don't come out.

Edit: I'm putting money on July 5th.

I believe to be true what a high level official from LSAC that I've had interaction with for several years (since I'm in the LSAT prep biz) told me and NOT claims from anonymous posters on a discussion forum and students on campuses that are probably either just trying to mess with people or are misguided by false rumors that are being spread around amongst anxious students.

Schools DO NOT receive an applicants score before it is officially released to the candidate by LSAC. Simple as that, it's a fact.

I made it clear that I didn't do as well as I wanted to on LG in the other thread. You were too busy being negative to notice.
