Reading the Questions First in RC?

Post by JDot » Wed Jun 06, 2012 4:32 pm

I was talking to someone today that said they scored well on the RC section by reading all the questions first in each passage. I'm gonna try doing this today after work on a section, but has anyone had any success (or failure) doing this?

That is a bad idea. The questions are always basically the same. You are just wasting your time.

+1

I tried this and the results just weren't there (for a couple reasons).
1) If you read them before you'll have to read them again.
2) If you read them before they will bog your mind down while reading the passage and you'll tend to miss the main point.

This is what happened to me at least. But go ahead and try it though to see for yourself. It can't hurt.
