Legacy preference

Would being a legacy to a school help get into that law school?

No one could give you anything but anecdotal advice. Impossible to give any sort of meaningful answer.

The only thing I would add is that conventional wisdom would suggest that it's not just about being a legacy, but how much your family has contributed to the school (read: donations).
