Currently registered for both however I am having second thoughts about June. I'm currently scoring in the low-mid 150's on practice tests. I am pretty consistent over all sections (in other words, I don't consistently miss more on one section than another). I feel like I can get my score up some before June, but don't feel comfortable enough with the material to say I have a realistic chance at a 165, which is my target for the schools I am planning to apply to.
I feel like I would be better off waiting until Oct, however some people have told me that that is too long to wait to take my first test (I will be applying for Fall 2013 start). Any thoughts?

Wait until October. If you need to retake, you have December or the option to wait another year. There's no point in taking it in a month if you are still 10-15 points away from your goal score.

So I really won't be hurting myself in terms of applying for schools if I wait until October to take my first test?

No, October test is considered on time. Dec test is when you're late. I agree you should wait. Give yourself enough time to max your score.zimmejs wrote:So I really won't be hurting myself in terms of applying for schools if I wait until October to take my first test?
