How Has The LSAT Changed In the Last Year and a Half?

Post by CalAlumni » Fri May 11, 2012 12:05 pm

First of all, thanks for letting me be part of this community!

About a year and a half ago I studied for the LSAT; however, due to a family imbroglio I had to put Law School off--until now that is. Has the LSAT changed at all in the past year and a half or so (ex. RC harder, LG's different types, etc.)?

Thank you in advance!

Not really. The new stuff was introduced more than two years ago. You now have to bring a passport photo to testing, IIRC.

Did we forget to mention the RC sections are now in Spanish?

Oh wait, maybe that's just for So Cal...

I heard that they're bringing back the swimsuit and evening gown portions. Or maybe that's just in New Jersey.

Experimental's no longer guaranteed to be in the first three sections, right?

Good point. You can no longer assume the experimental will be in the first three sections.

The most noticeable changes happened around 2007. ^this is also true.

Ftr, What changes happened in 2007? Is that when they got rid of grouped LR questions and added comparative, basically? Anything else?

I think that's it. Rule substitution LG started in 2009.

After every administration, TLS is overrun with people convinced they had a section 4 or 5 experimental, but recently (October 2011 IIRC) some of them actually turned out to be right.
