Also regarding the PBK vs. mensa debate.
I could go sign up for the SAT's tomorrow, demolish them, and join Mensa with no effort.
Joining PBK takes years of sustained effort and thousands of hours of hard work.

What difference would that make in the face of an interviewer who has a warped conception of what PBK is? lolbernaldiaz wrote:Also regarding the PBK vs. mensa debate.

Anyone have their first post-finding-out-their-LSAT-score drink planned? I've got a bottle of Jameson just waiting for LSAC to release scores

I told my friends 177+ and I'm taking them out to Smith and Wollensky. I'm assuming there will be copious amounts of drinking.moonman157 wrote:Anyone have their first post-finding-out-their-LSAT-score drink planned? I've got a bottle of Jameson just waiting for LSAC to release scores

My logic is that with my GPA, if I get a 177+ I am almost a HYS lock, so what the hell is a couple hundred bucks going to be in the long run.
Also, the odds that I get that high of a score are so minuscule (maybe 10%) that I'm not really worried about it.

I'd put it everywhere. If I applied to McDonald's, I would put it on the app.. There's no reason to be sorry or shy for your own intellect/brightness.Jsa725 wrote:

Would you put Mensa +'PBK on law school admission resume but not regular job resume?

Re: February 2012 Waiting Thread
What exactly is the criteria for PBK selection? Is there something more than GPA to qualify for your university's chapter? I really want it.
Edited to add: Ok so I looked it up for my school. It's probably like 10% of the college. That ain't even hard. It's easier than graduating summa.

Yea but you have to take certain classes I think, a mixture of math and social sciences. Some people don't want to use their electives or don't have enough time to take the needed classes.bernaldiaz wrote:What exactly is the criteria for PBK selection? OK so since I took us off topic with Mensa and AA, let me lead us back.
People say that this site usually predicts a curve one LOWER than the actual. So do you think the actual curve wil be 13, one higher than what the above poll is predicting?

I think it'll be 12 or 13. Was definitely not an easy test. I wish we could know the curve. The LSAC really is douchey in holding back things that they don't have to. They could easily give us back a section by section break down and the curve while keeping the test unpublished.RodionRaskolnikov wrote:OK so since I took us off topic with Mensa and AA, let me lead us back.
