PT 5, Game 2 setup

why is it 3x3? I tried 2(size+color)x3(SML), but that didn't help. Could you elaborate on the 3x3 grid, please?

Thanks, EarlCat, it really helped. I just had no idea how to approach this game, but it turned out to be super easy after I gave it a minute to sink inEarlCat wrote:SML ___ ___ ___
