Got a 176, lost all my points on the RC. Not to make excuses, but I just think the RC on this test was exceptionally difficult. Perhaps the most in a decade.

Re: 167 with a -11 on RC this Dec. Help!
Hilariously, in a depressing sort of way, I got the exact same number wrong in RC on the test: -11.
Let me guess: Had trouble with the comparative reading and ran out of time on the last passage?

More than half the questions I missed were on RC, which was also my final section. Go June!

170 is well within your reach. RC...just do a lot of them. You're right there!

Obviously you know what to focus on, just don't totally neglect LR and LG so you don't fall out of practice.

same deal I thought the reading was EXTREMELY hard this time around. I studied reading the least for my first time around, but this time it's going to be my main focus.

Re: 167 with a -11 on RC this Dec. Help!
LG (EX), LR (-4), LG (-1), BREAK, RC (-11), LR (-10).
The RC threw me off so much, right before section 5 too. I got a 161, the last 4 PT's I did (59-62), I scored 168,167,169,168, respectively. Feeling really depressed, but I will retake in June. One more year before Law School I guess.

Re: 167 with a -11 on RC this Dec. Help!
I definitely didn't study for RC the way I studied for LR/LG..
Should I switch my date from Feb. to June? Or is a month enough time to reach 170+?
God help me!

Schedule a diag a day or two before the test date change deadline. See how you feel then. Switch if you don't feel comfortable.
And even if you decide not to switch and later lose confidence, there is very little harm if you just not show up on test date and register for June. You are gonna get that 170 for sure!

Are you sure an absentee on my LSAC report will be overlooked? I'm nervous about having too many test scores and/or absentee/cancelations. Is the conventional wisdom right, it doesn't matter as long as you hit 170+?pcwcecac wrote:Schedule a diag a day or two before the test date change deadline. See how you feel then. It might also help to always include an extra RC as your 5th section in PTs, just to squeeze in as much RC practice as possible.

So if you change your test date by the deadline, Law Schools will not know that you had scheduled for an earlier test. I do not have proof that being absent on test date is 100% harmless. But my tutor did that a couple of times and still ended up in Columbia with a 175. Call LSAC to double check.iMisto wrote:Are you sure an absentee on my LSAC report will be overlooked? My impression is that they don't care, unless you've already done this many times

I will also add that if you run out of RC sections to practice, feel free to recycle. I still find myself searching for main points of view and counter arguments the second time reading through a passage. It's all good exercise.
My RC did not improve all that much, considering how many I've done for practice. Over the course of 4 months, I went from -13 to about -5 average. I got -7 on this particular RC section. But like I said earlier, you only needed a few more points.
You're right there man

Yup
I got -5 LR, -0 LG, -8 LR, -11 RC
Usually I get -5 or so on the RC, ran out of time probably like everyone else. Got the first 11 right and then not much else.
