I am starting prep. Just wondering which would be best option working fulltime vs partime.
Currently work fulltime 2pm-11pm five times a week.
I have free time all morning, I think i can pull 4 hours every day before i go to work plus study more on my days off.
just wondering what worked for you? I can work part-time if it necessary, or if its good ideas it does bother me working fulltime or partime. i just need to do really well, aiming for 168-170

I worked full time (regular business hours though). It wasn't a problem as long as I set aside time for the LSAT. It's tough, and you will be tired, but you can do it.

You can work full time and still put in the prep to do well.
However, it's easier if you work part time. You'll have more free time, you won't be tired from work, and it'll be easier to take a day off (which is necessary for your brain to process everything). I've taught many people who worked full time, part time, and no time. The ones who worked part-time generally did the best (because the no-timers tended to be in college still and hungover for any Saturday class).

I have to agree with this. I took a class earlier this year and then did self study while working full-time. There were a few weeks where I was so tired from work that I barely retained anything from my prep tests or the Bibles. Ironically, I'm a paralegal, so some of the work I do can be extremely mentally draining and the hours can vary. The only time I saw significant improvement was when I took days off or cut hours from work to focus on studying. If I had to do it over again (here's hoping Saturday goes well so I won't have to do it again), I would have taken a leave of absence or switched schedules.bp shinners wrote:You can work full time and still put in the prep to do well.
