Yes. Especially since you said that you failed to notice minor details.

Take it for what its worth, but I think the less familiar you are with the test when you start PTing, the greater your range of PT scores will be.

Maybe take a break from taking practice tests and work on some problem areas (there has to be some with a 163) and you will see better results.

No. I would check in with a doctor; sounds like you might have contracted syphillis or bird flu overnight, both of which commonly cause 10 point drops in your LSAT score. If you drop another five points, tell the doctor to check for SARS (the cause of the disappearance of over 2/3rds of the LLM classes at the T14 in 2003).

The same thing actually happened to me around my 20th practice test or so - I went 175/166/177 on three consecutive practice tests. The dip for me I think was related to extraneous factors - I hadn't slept wonderfully the night before and didn't have the same amount of coffee that I usually do. It's funny how little things like that can throw you off a lot.

My advice is just to get back on the wagon - take a few hours off and work out or do something else to de-stress, then go back and review every single problem you got wrong very carefully so you don't keep making the same mistakes.

Thank you for letting me know.
(Sorry! It is mean to say that, but your words comforted me.)
I am going to try your strategy.

Given that you are typically around 168 it's odd that you would look at this as a ten point drop, rather than a 5 point boost one time and a 5 point dip another time.

I was PT-ing between 168-172 for about a month. I think it was because I was taking one test per week. Just before October, I upped it to 2, then 3 tests per week. My scores were all over the place: 166, 159, 167, 162, 165. On test day, I got a 161. Now I'm singin' the retake blues.

As far I can tell, there is such a thing as burning out. You said you took a PT the morning after taking another PT. I'd recommend going for a jog instead, then reading something enjoyable.
