Second year. Where do I start.
I'm in my 2nd year undergrad. I know my reading capabilities are not strong. So i want to start early. Where do I start?
I've looked through posts and learned that Powerscore Bible series are the most popular. Should i start on those? If so, i went on amazon to see the prices but they only have the version in 2009. Is it worth it to buy this? or buy it from the actual website... I just don't want to spend to much money.

Do you have trouble with reading comprehension at all? If so, this is a great time to start reading a lot. It'll give you a lot of time to improve in an area that takes deficient people the longest to build up.
Other than that, I would say download/buy logic games by section and maybe do one or two each day like a sudoku or crossword.
You have another year. I'd start really drilling in 6-8 months but its never too early to get the basics (by reading the bibles/casually doing games) down early, at least it'll have some time to sink in.

If you are going to do any specific part of the test, I would do games. That's why I did 6 months before I actually started studying and it was really nice to walk into the diag and first month having that down pat. Plus they are kind of fun and easy to do for 20-30 minutes at a time.
My honest advice is just start reading constantly. Read an Economist/WSJ article a day and try to just read a wide range of different things (Historical Non/Fiction, Biographies, Whatever you enjoy). If you are reading dense texts just always keep asking yourself if you are teasing out the main point.

Doesn't seem to matter much because games have stayed the same the past few years (plus you can download the last 2 or 3 years worth of games if you want more recent puzzles). Just make sure you get a clean copy of the book.yunjh2725 wrote:Thanks ^ so do you guys recommend the bible thats in 2009 version? instead of the recent one? cos they are pretty expensive!

Are you from UVA by any chance? Haha, most people say "sophomore" instead of second year.
