Help With Game #3 From PT 10

Post by ChinaCat » Sat Oct 01, 2011 8:58 pm

Does anyone have any tips for solving this logic game (the one about the game where a word is any 4 letters of the English alphabet) quickly and efficiently? I was able to get the correct answers but it took me forever.

Thanks

This isn't an answer, but rather a comment.

That was my favorite game ever. I was seriously hoping for a miracle repeat. I am a scrabble addict so that game nearly made me cream my pants!

Thanks, one question: is there an explanation aside from the answers to the specific questions people asked?

I'd have to look, but whatever you see is what's there. Feel free to ask another question about that game there.

Hi Noah,
Could you please look at question 13, answer choice A, does the first two words violate the rule about alphabetical order? perhaps XZXXX should not be followed by XLXXX?
Thank you

So not only the first letter of each word must be in alphabetical order, the second letter of each word must also be in alphabetical order?

For example, it has to be
ACC, ACD

instead of
ACC, ABC

I realize this might not be a problem for native speakers, but this alphabetical order thing is messing my head, since my mother tough doesn't use alphabet.
