baseless predictions for Oct 1 lsat (64)
based on trends of october tests, and what we've seen on the most modern tests, what're you expecting for 64?
ie:
curve?
types of lg?

Re: baseless predictions for Oct 1 lsat (64)
last october's (pt 61) most you can miss total and still get 170: -12
year before that (58): -11
and year before that (55) -8
can't conclude anything from that alone, but it's interesting. a -11 wouldn't be too hard to deal with IMO.
also, there hasn't been a significant in/out grouping game in LG since pt 61 (i hardly count game 1 of pt63 as in/out since it was absurdly easy), so i wonder if we're due on 64 for a more challenging one, ala jays/shrikes or cd's on sale in the record store..

There hasn't been an In/Out (aka Selection) Grouping game since PrepTest 59 (December 2009). I wouldn't be surprised if one came up on Saturday.

I'll be cheering if the two toughest games are an In/Out game and a branching pure sequencing game (I don't think there's been one of those for a few tests).

Probably -11 - -12. One open board, one advanced linear, one grouping undefined and a basic linear or pure sequencing.

two questions:JamMasterJ wrote:Probably -11 - -12. One open board, one advanced linear, one grouping undefined and a basic linear or pure sequencing.
1. what do you mean by open board?
2. How would anyone classify game three on PT24 (Juarez/Rosenberg book reviewing game)? This is the only game on the PTs that I seriously do not understand how to do in less than 15 minutes.

1- I meant open assignment. Al, Bob, Carl, Dave and Ed can cook, clean, serve, greet and tend bar. You have to pick which tasks each guy does.mmk33 wrote:two questions:JamMasterJ wrote:Probably -11 - -12. 2- I'm at work so I can't access that test. If you want to put it in general terms, I could tell you, or you could look at manhattanlsat.com's forums

I just did the reviewers the other day. You need to give each guy his own two tiered setup, don't try to combine them and then make the deductions from there.mmk33 wrote:two questions:JamMasterJ wrote:Probably -11 - -12. That's actually a fairly difficult breakdown, I'd love to have tough games to make the curve loosenhorrorbusiness wrote:sounds ideal, come at me 64JamMasterJ wrote:Probably -11 - -12. One open board, one advanced linear, one grouping undefined and a basic linear or pure sequencing.

Give me hard LR, easy RC, medium games and I'd be happy.JamMasterJ wrote:That's actually a fairly difficult breakdown, I'd love to have tough games to make the curve loosenhorrorbusiness wrote:sounds ideal, come at me 64JamMasterJ wrote:Probably -11 - -12. yeah that's kinda what i meant, the harder the games section is the more forgiving the the rest of the test seems to be, assuming you can do well in games of any difficultyJamMasterJ wrote:That's actually a fairly difficult breakdown, I'd love to have tough games to make the curve loosenhorrorbusiness wrote:sounds ideal, come at me 64JamMasterJ wrote:Probably -11 - -12. Re: baseless predictions for Oct 1 lsat (64)
Bingo. My LR scores don't vary much regardless of difficulty. My RC scores are between -4 and -11 though. And I hope there's a selection game, I usually crush those in no time without breaking a sweat.Dash41 wrote:Give me hard LR, easy RC, medium games and I'd be happy.JamMasterJ wrote:That's actually a fairly difficult breakdown, I'd love to have tough games to make the curve loosenhorrorbusiness wrote:sounds ideal, come at me 64JamMasterJ wrote:Probably -11 - -12. Re: baseless predictions for Oct 1 lsat (64)
Exactly. I'm at the point where, regardless of difficulty, I'm getting 0 to 1 wrong on LR (got 0-0 for the first time on 63). But my games score is REALLY dependent on the type of games. It's not necessarily a question of hard/medium/easy, so much as hard/medium/easy for me. I thought the 62 games were pretty easy, for instance, but I've struggled on some supposedly easy games sections. RC is meh. If I was sure the hardest passage would be a non-science passage, I'd be happy to see a harder RC but I can't trust myself to make sense of nonsense about sea-floor spreading or whatever in the middle of a grueling test.Dash41 wrote:Give me hard LR, easy RC, medium games and I'd be happy.JamMasterJ wrote:That's actually a fairly difficult breakdown, I'd love to have tough games to make the curve loosenhorrorbusiness wrote:sounds ideal, come at me 64JamMasterJ wrote:Probably -11 - -12.
