Need a pick me up... any tips?

Post by darkatillam2 » Wed Sep 28, 2011 5:28 pm

Quick notes:

Been hardcore studying since Jan.

Splitter, aiming for a 167+.

Best PT scores were the 30s with a few low 170s around my belt.

I have taken every available LSAT (including retakes of all the following: 30s, 50s, 46-49, and 61 since my June cancel).

In the last few weeks: my PT average was around 162-165 (that includes 6 tests I had never seen before 40-45 + 62)

Just got done with PT 62 and got a 162. Time was a huge issue as I had to guess on 10 total questions and missed 9 of them.

Just took PT 63 (a retake from June) and scored a 163. I did worse (I assume anyway) on the LG as I had 5 minutes+ to recheck answers in June, but had to guess on 2 questions in the 3rd game which I both got wrong. No clue why that game messed me up. Everyone seems to think the ball game is hardest and I blew through that game in no time.

Anyway, the recent low scores have really been killing my confidence. I know how important it is to go in with a positive attitude, but my recent scores (mainly my RC scores, as I missed 10 today, and missed 8 on PT 62) have just crushed me.

Anyone have any advice on how to shrug off the feeling of backward progression?

Try to relax! You know you can do well, you've demonstrated it. You've already done it. I personally wouldn't do any more PTs between now and the test, just some sections here and there. Don't give up! I'm a splitter too, so I'm in your boat. :)

Walk in there and own that test like you know you can. If I can do it you, so can you.
