I have been hearing of this quite frequently and it apparently leads to answering more LR questions correctly.
When does one when typically begin to notice this pattern? What's the quickest and surest way to pick up on the pattern??

To be honest, it just takes practice. Some people probably pick it up faster than others. I'd say after about 5-8 practice tests, things just became extremely familiar for me. You just know the question types. Again, it varies though.

Re: LR Pattern
what really made it click for me was to take a full section and a notebook. then for each question i'd read the question stem and write down the type of question it was. after that i'd read the premises and bracket the conclusion. from there i'd write down what i expect the answer to say.
then for each answer choice write why each are wrong and why the right one is correct. it took about two hours and a lot of hand cramping but it really just made me see the patterns within the logical reasoning and how each answer choice uses certain language that makes it the wrong answer
