Advice on October vs December LSAT

Post by JoeC12 » Wed Aug 31, 2011 10:06 pm

Hey guys,

Took the LSAT in June and while I did not do as well as my practice tests, I did OK. Plan/planned on taking the October LSAT but I just have not found as much time as I would have liked to studying (I play football at a division 1 school). Most if not all of the schools I am looking at take the highest LSAT score. So my question is... should I take in October or delay till December. If I take in October, best case scenario I score within my range and I can apply earlier on in the cycle and worst case scenario I don't score what I would like to and I take again in December. If I take in December I know for a fact I can increase my score by 4-5 points (maybe more) but I would be applying later on in the semester.

hard to know without telling us your numbers. If you absolute must go to LS nxt year then take October so you can retake either feb/dec. If not, take it in Feb/June and apply super early fall 2013.

158 June 2011 LSAT...I was pt'ing around 161.. I am currently pt'ing around the same... If I take in December I am confident I can bump my 158 to appoximately 163-164... Is the advantage to applying in October that much more significant??
