Difficulty of LR across PTs Forum

It is well recognized that for recent tests, the difficulty of LR increases as one progresses through the section (e.g., 1-10 are generally much easier than 15-16). However, this doesn't seem to hold true for the earlier PTs, especially the ones administered during the 90s. Does anyone else notice this or am I mistaken?

I've noticed it before on a couple of the earlier tests. I always assumed they had it there just to f**k with my timing haha.
