Taking LSAT third & final time, help please
Hello All,
So my numbers are extremely low went in cold Oct 10' scored a 137 then jumped 11 points in Feb 11' to a 148. Applied to few schools, got rejected by almost all except some TTTT's out of state. My goal is to get into CUNY Law or possibly NY Law, and I am unsure how I should go about prepping this final try. I took Kaplan course and did PTs every other day from Oct to Feb to jump 11 points, yet the last PT I took (June 2010) I scored a 151 two days before my Feb 11' LSAT exam.
RC is by far my worst section and the RC PS bible doesn't seem to be much of a help. I just purchased "The Official LSAT SuperPrep" from LSAC online and I'm reviewing there guide to questions hoping to find a better way to go about this prep. I cant afford to take another prep course, so I am guessing to stack up on PTs and hope to break into 155+ barrier? I appreciate all the help I can get, thank you!

RC is the hardest section. Some other posters suggest the Manhattan (an LSAT prep company) RC guide.
For logic games, many recommend the PowerScore LG Bible.

This is what you should be doing: http://www.top-law-schools.com/forums/v ... =6&t=41657. Unfortunately, that takes 3+ months to do right. If you're dead set on only getting into those schools and not aiming higher you could maybe a version of it in 2 months. If you haven't given those goals too much consideration, it'd be to your advantage to read up on what you're getting yourself into though. Best of luck

For me, the powerscore RC bible was the LEAST useful of the three bibles. This guys suggestions for post-it notes seem like they would be useful. http://top-law-schools.com/forums/viewt ... 6&t=161914

Noone suggested PowerScore's RC Bible, just the logic games Bible. For the OP, and for you, consider Manhattan's RC manual.

my cold diagnostic was a 134. i scored a 159 twice on the LSAT. you really need to postpone the LSAT. this is your last chance and you need to be well prepared. hypo: if you want a 155 you should be PT'ing a little higher so that you have a buffer.
the "easiest" way to get some points on the LSAT is to master the LG section. this takes time but it is totally doable. get the LG bible and use Cambridge LSAT to by the LG games broken into types. Read the chapter in the LG bible and use Cambridge LSAT to drill them. i would spend 1-2 month and possibly 3 months learning this section. dont worry about timing at first. you need to understand the deductions and the mapping of the game. i went from getting 9/23 to 21/23 with 5 mins to spare on the real lsat.
LR and RC are more difficult but still learnable section relatively speaking and therefore requrie more time. i would suggest the LR bible and Manhattan's RC manual.
