'SUITS' USA Network (Dumb Question)
Ok so this will be a very dumb question, If anyone follows that show about two lawyers in last night episode: Mike offers Rachel (Paralegal) the LSAT book to take the test next week
Even if it is an entertainment show but is that even possible for someone to take the test with one week of preparation.. and comparatively we are sitting here studying for 4 months..
on a brighter note, it is an epic show.

pretty sure lots of people take the test with 0 prep, let alone a week.

Pretty sure she wouldn't have been able to take the test because of registration deadlines. Plenty of people go with less prep than they should though.

Pretty sure there's a 3 month study minimum
And yes, that show is sick. Better than Franklin and bash IMO

She had already studied for it before, it would've been her second time... she wasn't starting from scratch.

Re: 'SUITS' USA Network (Dumb Question)
TITCR. Rachel had expressed no intent on taking the test, and there's no reason to believe she would have been registered because she sucks at it and has bombed it before. She is completely jaded about it. In the tv world, however, we can believe that the LSAC allows registration up to just one week in advance.slacker wrote:Pretty sure she wouldn't have been able to take the test because of registration deadlines. My question would be what they will do with Rachel's character even if she does get a good score. I can believe that she will leave the firm after she starts dating Mike, coincidentally just before she enrolls @ Columbia or NYU (or Fordham or Penn), thus, giving up her place at the firm for just one year. But Harvard? No way! She is way too hot, and her character has already become central to Mike's progression. She's sort of his foil. Mike is obviously going to have a love triangle with Rachel and his friend's ex, because he has the hots for both of them.
Rachel's not going to HYS no matter what happens. NYU, CLS or Fordham make the most sense. Maybe the firm will have to adjust its policy and get off of this, "only from Harvard" garbage.

I saw this episode and thought hmm maybe this could work. two people walk into the room both signed up for the test and you just switch booklets after you fill out the info and sometime during the writing section. Im pretty sure he could get wayy more than 1000 to give people 172's.

Re: 'SUITS' USA Network (Dumb Question)
I'm glad you posted this because I've been wanting to vent on how ridiculous it was that Mike said she needed a 170 to get into Harvard, but if she didn't study she'd get a 130? Seriously? Forget for a second that a 170 will not get you into fucking Harvard. We're supposed to believe she's smart enough to get into a good school, yet without ONE WEEK of studying she'd get a 130? SERIOUSLY?!?!?!
ETA: My point is she's an idiot, and I hate her for it.

It's purely entertainment, still a great show, definitely better than Franklin and Bash, but I still enjoy both.
I do think $1,000 is a bit on the low end of what you could get for a 170+.
The real question should be what is a 170+ truely worth??

I got into law school with 0 prep. Rachel can't get in at all. Looks like I'm smarter.
And I enjoy that show too (although I'll never be working in a place like that

Maybe her UGPA is 4.0 in Biology or Comparative History of Ideas, or something (else)...and from Princeton, Brown or Cal-Tech.

You can definitely get a high score with little to no studying. A friend of mine got a 173 on the first (and only, he has no interest in going into law) PT he ever took. Some people are just really fucking smart.

That season finale was intense. I like the show a hell of a lot more than I thought I would.

Re: 'SUITS' USA Network (Dumb Question)
72% of LSAT test takers go into the real thing with less than six hours of prep. Did I just make up a statistic? Yes. But I'll bet it's accurate.

Re: 'SUITS' USA Network (Dumb Question)
Ditto, The show is badd ass, but yeah I heard stories of people who are just smart and take the Lsat on the first shot, and there are some people who have to really study and understand the concepts to be somewhat confidence to take the test,
btw, does anyone have or know the link to the solutions page for the pt38 Section 2: Game 1?

Re: 'SUITS' USA Network (Dumb Question)
I've read this story a few times and two things stand out.
1. Why go from Michigan to Emory?
2. Every version makes sure to mention he took the test free for a female student. Is anyone buying this second one? Maybe not for money, but I very much doubt for free.
Seriously? What are you waiting for?
Now there's a charge.
