The day of the exam

Post by NiccoloA » Mon Jul 11, 2011 4:43 pm

So I see that to get into the room on the day of the exam, I have to bring my identification. No problem for most, right. Feel rather silly that I'm even asking.

But my license is suspended until Oct 26th (too many speeding tickets), but my license expires in about a week. The LSAT door won't accept invalid driver's licenses, so will they accept one of those State ID cards that look like this? (very bottom)

Call LSAC and ask. Also, do the rules say "driver's license" or do they say something like "government-issued identification?"

LSAC sez: "All candidates must have one current, valid (not expired) government-issued ID containing a recent and recognizable photo and your signature." I don't see any reason why the ID card wouldn't work.

Yeah, given that language (and since it seems like you don't have any other choice) I'd say go with the state ID card.

You can also use a passport. I know people at my testing center did so without issue.

But an ID card would work too.

ID cards definitely work; I know someone who used one during the June exam.

A state ID would have to work, the LSAC could not 'dog' you for not being 'able' to legally operate a vehicle (having a license)
