PSA: LSAC just changed the deadline to withdraw your test registration so that an absence will not appear on your CAS report if you know you cannot make it to test day and withdraw the registration by midnight EST the night before your scheduled test date.
You now have until midnight EST the night before your scheduled test administration to withdraw your registration so that it will not show up as an absence or as anything else on the CAS report the law schools you apply to receive.
The deadline to change/postpone your registered test date for a lower fee than the full registration fee policy remains the same, it is approximately 3 weeks before the scheduled test date and remains this Sunday May 15th midnight EST for the June 2011 exam.

So you can cancel your registration the day before the test?

Yep, you can, as they are referring to it now "withdraw' your registration to take the test up to midnight EST the night before your registered test day and nothing will show up on your CAS report that LS's you apply to see.Miracle wrote:So you can cancel your registration the day before the test?
I'm happy about this change. It gets rid of all the debates and people stressing out about "is it better to have a cancelled LSAT score or an absence on my record?" that have been going on for a while during the weeks leading up to each test.

Thanks for sharing this. I'm scheduled for June 6th, but I would like to have those extra days to decide whether or not I think I'm ready.

Friendly reminder:
The deadline to postpone registration for the June 2011 LSAT administration is midnight EST today May 15th.
If something in the next 3 weeks impairs your ability to take the June LSAT you have until midnight EST June 5th to withdraw your registration so that nothing will show up on your CAS report about it. You'll have to re-register and pay the full registration fee again if you need to exercise this option.
