NY Test Center: Columbia
Hi folks,
Does anyone know what kind of desks they have at Columbia? Tables? left/right handed?
Also, if anyone can share the list of NYC testing centers that have tables, this would be great.
thanks in advance.

I know that CUNY Law has tables. In fact most, if not all, law schools should have real tables.

the only law school on the list for the oct lsat is nyu law.
so if I don't hear anything back about columbia (3602), then I guess Ill go with that.
edit: also fordham law is on the list too.

In NYC there is Fordham Law, NYU Law, and CUNY Law all available for the October test. I would suspect all would have real desks, but I can guarantee CUNY does and I am 95% NYU does.

NYU is the best. It's in a lecture/amphitheater-style room that fits maybe 50-75 people, but you're spaced out with one empty seat between every two test takers, so you have ample desk space. The proctors were really good too, I took the Feb LSAT and got out by 12:30/1pm.
Check-in is by room, so it's a lot faster. Left-handed people are allowed to sit on the end if they let the proctors know before being seated.
Those reviews were so outdated they didn't help me at all.

Re: NY Test Center: Columbia
Hey all, sorry to bump this since it's been inactive for the last month, but I'm trying to finalize my test center spot ... one of the few sites near me that is available is CUNY School of Law - has anyone ever taken the LSAT here before? If so, how was your experience?
If no one has sat for the LSAT here, can anyone at least confirm that this school has, in all classrooms (or almost all), good seating arrangements, namely long tables rather than (small) desks?
I suppose other factors can't be accounted for, such as proctor timing competence or outside noise, since those probably vary, but any input would be greatly appreciated about this test center! (Have to book it w/in the next day since it's listed as "limited availability")
