Guessed on 10+ questions and still did well?
Anyone blankly guess on 10 or more questions and still got a 165+ LSAT score? Just curious because I guessed on 13 questions on Feb LSAT but feel good about the rest of the test.

seeing as how you can usually get like 10-12 wrong and still get a 170, I'm sure it's possible

shaville, how did u feel after the test? Did you think you would get a 170? Also, did you guess 9 through different sections or just one?

Re: Guessed on 10+ questions and still did well?
I guessed on the last game of the LG section during December's LSAT, annoyed me, cause on PTs I would go -0 or -1 on every LG section and the game was mind numbingly easy, I just fumbled on game 3 and lost track of time.
I got a 167, I just pulled up the score sheet on LSAC I missed 4/5 on the last game and -4 for the section lol.
You should make 1/5 of guessed questions, just bet on that but obviously theres a chance you make em all. I just wouldn't get your hopes up on that one.
What do you normally score on PT's? do you end up guessing on PT's? Short answer is it's definitely possible.

Not quite exactly the answer you're looking for, but I bubbled in 11 B's in a row in the Oct administration (I had a migraine in the middle of the test and I couldn't look at it much longer) and managed to get 5 of them right!

I guessed on almost all of two games in December, didn't have time to finish a few RC and LR, and got a 168--ended up going -1 RC, -3 LR, and -13 LG. I wouldn't cancel your score if you felt good about the rest of the exam. When I left the test center, I was almost certain I was going to cancel, but I'm really glad that I didn't.

Statistically speaking, you will probably get 3-4 out of the 13 correct if you guessed B or D. If it was one of those stringer portions (where they make several correct answers the same letter) you might get lucky and get 6, maybe 7, at the most. I wouldn't get my hopes up for more than 3 correct if I were you.risktaker wrote:Anyone blankly guess on 10 or more questions and still got a 165+ LSAT score? All nine guesses were for the last nine questions of the logic games section.risktaker wrote:shaville, how did u feel after the test? Did you think you would get a 170? Also, did you guess 9 through different sections or just one?

I guessed (blindly) on about 5 LG and 6 LR questions due to lack of time.... So somewhere around 11 questions. Scored a 166 in December. Bummed because my PT average was 170. Oh well.

All that guessing did not bode well for me. I have a feeling that I got pretty much every single question I guessed on wrong. Ended up with a 157. Low end of my PT's. Oh well. Onto law school it is and hopefully kicking ass 1L year.

Re: Guessed on 10+ questions and still did well?
I felt like I fumbled on the December LG pretty badly, and for the last 10 minutes or so I was scrambling to make semi-educated guesses all over the place on games 2-4. I can't say how many of my answers were truly "blind," but I'd say I probably made some pretty shaky reasoning leaps at various points, and on several questions I was definitely guessing blindly between 2-3 remaining answer choices. Nonetheless, I still managed to go -1 on the games for a score of 176 overall.
In my practice tests, however, I was almost always finishing the LG without making any blind guesses. Point being, it can work out okay, but certainly do not count on it. If you're not well prepared, statistically speaking it is not likely to end well.

Re: Guessed on 10+ questions and still did well?
I straight up guessed on 5 short argument questions on the Feb test (horrible time management, didn't even get to them) and then 4-5 others throughout the test and got a 172.
