Does 1 Cancelled test hurt you at HYSCCN?
See subject line.
Considering canceling the Feb test (first LSAT) after a really rough time in RC and a few blind guesses in LG. Just want to know if one cancellation would hurt me at HYSCCN..
Thank you!

I got into at least one of those schools with a canceled test.

not to be a wet blanket but I think at HYS it could be an issue......but below that you're fine

Usual anecdote caveats apply, and the specifics of any single app can make things vary significantly... BUT, I can say with absolute certainty that at least five of those schools will absolutely admit people with a single cancellation!

consensus seems to be a first lower score will hurt you at HYS (though not necessarily disqualify you) and won't really matter at CCN (I'm in at CLS and NYU with a retake)acrossthelake wrote:aschup wrote:No.
cancel, on the other hand, is the end of world...makes you look like a wuss...
....just kidding, I have a friend at Yale who canceled his first time - dosent seem to matter at all

smittytron's logic is vulnerable to criticism based on the grounds that..........oh never mind lol
My opinion was not based on any empirical evidence at all just something I heard so I'd disregardit based on what all these other people are saying....you're probably good

Thanks for all the replies!
It's pure conjecture, but I think I could have scored anywhere from a 166 at worst today, to a 172 at best. I think I'm going to cancel. I gotta say, it's really not a great feeling to cancel a test, particularly when you feel great about two of the four sections (LR1 & LR2).
It's a tough call, but you guys have made it a tad bit easier!
