How much improvement can one make on the LSAT? Forum

I have taken my diagnostic test a couple of days ago and the score was pretty horrific.
I am planning to take the LSAT on October which allows me to study for a couple of months from now.
Like most of you, I want to score 170+, but is it really unrealistic to think one would jump that high when I only have given a certain amount of time to study?

you can score higher than your cold diagnostic. Depending on where you are at right now, a 170 may or may not be feesable for you. If you start studying now for october, you will give yoruself 8 months to dominate the test. this is definatly a good option foryou to consider!

I was researching this recently; it seems to vary per individual.

if you did, say, 145, but had 10 points worth of stupid mistakes that easily fixable with practice, its conceivable one could see a 20-25 point increase, with roper studying of course.

I went from a cold diagnostic of a 147 to a 165 in about 5 months I believe.
