It is possible of students to take June 2011 LSAT and use its score in Fall 2011 application.

I'm pretty sure most schools hand out their decisions by March. You might be able to use a June LSAT for scholarship considerations but not admission

It depends on the school. While many, and most if not all tier-1, have 2/1, 2/15, 3/1 or 3/15 deadlines, there are some schools with more relaxed app deadlines. U of Arkansas-Fayetteville (rank 86) has a 7/1 deadline, for instance. I'm sure there are others. Your chances applying so late in the cycle, I don't know.
If you're waitlisted at a school that wouldn't have otherwise accepted that LSAT for the coming fall, I don't see how a LoCI mentioning a drastically improved LSAT score would hurt. Whether it would help is a different question entirely. My feeling, though, is that adcomms would welcome any familiar, objective means of differentiating one waitlisted applicant from another.

University of Denver's deadline is 7/15 I think. So they might. On the other hand, if you take it in June you have your score ready and you can have all your LORs etc ready to go when 2012 applications start becoming available on September 1. It is my understanding that most schools would not accept such a late test date for 2011 admission though.

It can be done but you have to be that much better to get consideration that late. If you are trying to maximize the ranking of the school you attend it is not advisable. But if you are competitive at a t20 school and are happy attending your local state school in the t50 range then go for it. Likely too late for serious funding though...

You should seriously consider waiting a year to apply. With a June 2011 score you can apply super early for 2012 admission. Applying then would give you many, many more options, and your chances of admission and getting financial aid at any given school would be much, much better.

After I got my June 2010 score, some schools contacted me about starting in the fall of 2010. The schools I am currently accepted to for fall 2011 are between 75 and 150 spots higher in USNWR though.cwest131 wrote:It is possible of students to take June 2011 LSAT and use its score in Fall 2011 application.

Agreed. Unless perhaps you've already been admitted to a school of your choice and are just trying to use a higher LSAT score to negotiate scholarships.bp colin wrote:You should seriously consider waiting a year to apply. I remember when I first took the June LSAT, I started a job I ended up not really liking that August, thinking I'd work a year and then go to law school. After a couple weeks of hating the job, I got an e-mail from New York Law School offering me immediate admission to the Fall class, no application fee or recommendations required! Wow, New York Law School, that's like a top 10 school! I was really excited for about 5 minutes.

@android: NYU law school certainly is top 10. New York Law School I don't think ranks as high. Pricewise, however, they're neck and neck (100k+).

Interestingly, I will be applying to New York Law School. Postponed my LSAT to June 6, 2011.

Re: June Lsat For Fall 2011 applicants
Well, I have gotten in to my top choice and just got a LSAC fee waiver (I didn't think I would be eligible, so I didn't bother applying. dumb, I know), so I'm thinking about taking the June LSAT and using it to try and leverage for more money. My LSAT is currently at 75%, and I think that even a few point increase will help.
I know that most of the money will be gone by then, but I already have a half tuition scholarship, so I would only be negotiating for no more than 8,000 more total. Thoughts?
