Does anyone know about FT and PT?

Does anyone know how difficult it is to transfer from a part time program to a full time program within the same school.. Say Georgetown GW or fordam. And would it be better to go to FT fordam or PT Georgetown assuming you want to work in NYC.

My understanding is that as long as you do well, it is sort of assumed you will make the switch. Read about someone who got in PT got a great GPA and was offered scholly to PT to stay. I think he had a very high GPA though.
