Relevance of old RC sections?

Post by dsb83 » Sun Nov 28, 2010 6:12 pm

RC is my weakest section and I'm looking for a more prep on it. I only have PT 61 left from 39-60, and I plan to take that next Saturday. How relevant are the earlier reading comp sections to what I can expect on Dec. 11? Are they typically viewed as harder or easier? I know they don't have the comparative reading passages. Thanks.

From what I'm told, the older ones are easier and to focus on 40+ PTs. I'm going to take probably three more PT's in the upcoming weeks for Dec 11th and lightly read through the LR Bible, as I'm already pretty strong in LR and I don't want to burn out.

Extremely relevant. The question types have stayed remarkably consistent, and while you could argue that there has been a trend toward denser passages, that is liable to change back and forth on any given test whereas knowing the question stems and trends by heart will still prove valuable no matter how boring the material is.

If you can only do 20, do the most recent ones. If in your study program you have more time, then just do them all. They still help you get very familiar with the RC section.
