3 Time Taker- Good or Bad?

Post by noahzak » Sat Oct 30, 2010 5:04 pm

I went from a 159 (June) to a 163 (OCt) by studying for a week for the OCT LSAT. Well, I guess in addition to the month I studied for the June one...

If I retake in December and study for the next month, do you think its worth it? I mean, will it look bad if I have three LSATS in my file? Also, if I happen to do worse, how bad will that look?

Ahhh so confused- thank you!

If you can score at least 2 points higher I'd say it's definitely worth it.

Study and take. If you don't use it, you lose it.

Thanks guys....So should I apply now and retake, and they will place my file on hold until then? Does that hurt my chances of getting in?

I have three on my file. The first a 161 the latest a 173.

I think I can say with some confidence that my three test record today looks better than the two test record or single test records that I had previously.

If you can increase that's always good. Applying late, however, is not. Could you give yourself time for the third attempt, retake in Feb or June and apply next year?

For 7-14 T14 schools its fine. However, I do not know anyone who got into HYSCCN with multiple retakes (not that it doesnt happen, but I haven't seen any users on here get in w/ a few scores)

There's no such truth about multiple takes not getting into HYSCCN.

No matter what the schools say, the evidence is you'd get in based on what your single, highest score would predict about your chances.

thanks for the advice. I don't think I can wait until next cycle, unfortunately, so Dec. is my only shot. Hopefully retaking will make my score high enough to counter waiting so long. I will send all my apps in this week and let them know I am retaking...
