Given my scores, do I need an Addendum?
Hi,
So I took the lsat and cancelled it. I retook in June 2010 and got a 161. I decided to retake in Oct and just got back a 158.
Do I need to include an addendum now?
An I totally screwed?
Give me some info I should know.
Thanks

From what I have read, if you have a three point difference in either direction you should write an addendum.

three point is far to close to need an addendum. Definitely, 5+.Spack wrote:From what I have read, if you have a three point difference in either direction you should write an addendum.

I went from 153 in sep 09 to 161 in oct 10. Would I need an addendum?

If you read through the dean interviews they generally suggest one if it's that big of a gap. Just say you actually prepared the second time around.doug_7506 wrote:I went from 153 in sep 09 to 161 in oct 10. Would I need an addendum?

for your case I would focus on the fact that the test is based on a band of +- 3 points. You oly scored 3 point lower. If you could somehow portray that the 161 was a better reflection of you than write it.bb8900 wrote:Well am I screwed?

You don't need an addendum for the score increase, if you really want to do one it should be fore the cancel. But seriously, you won't need one.bb8900 wrote:Even though this was my third time taking it?Patriot1208 wrote:you don't need an addendum.doug_7506 wrote:for your case I would focus on the fact that the test is based on a band of +- 3 points. Did you mean score decrease?
I got a cancel, 161, 158.
What would I write for the cancel one in an addendum?

Re: Given my scores, do I need an Addendum?
Yes, sorry, decrease. But in reality, the difference is negligible enought that either up or down does not require an addendum. For the cancel you could write something about being sick or whatever. But seriously, you don't need an addendum.bb8900 wrote:[
