Oct. LSAT takers: What will you do?
With scores out tomorrow, I thought it might be fun to discuss what our extreme reactions might be. What will your reaction be if you get your dream score? What about your nightmare score?
For myself...
Dream score (176): Go to the roof of my apartment building and scream at the top of my lungs while jumping around (probably naked).
Nightmare score (165): Eat, drink, eat, drink, eat, drink, puke

Re: Oct. LSAT takers: What will you do?
My ranges have not moved too much:
178-180: Scream like a 12-year-old girl who has just found out she's going on a date with Justin Bieber
176-177: Scream like a 21-year-old guy whose team just beat Notre Dame
173-175: Scream like a 45-year-old person who is watching replays of a car crash in slow motion
170-172: Don't scream, just sit
<169: Scream like a 3-year-old getting a series of vaccines

165+ = drink champagne, yell, run around, and don't quit smiling for days
163-164 = drink champagne and be mildly excited
-162 = drink champagne and cry
edit: I already bought the champagne. Figured it was a win-win.

<170: Isolate myself from all human contact for a few days.
171: Be annoyed and re-register.
172-173: Take it with quiet satisfaction.
174 and up: party like it's 1999

Re: Oct. LSAT takers: What will you do?
Dream score (which I'm currently too superstitious to post): SHRIEK with delight, hug everyone in my family and everyone on the street, SHRIEK some more, possibly kiss my LSAT prep books, possibly kiss my desk, and then go out and treat a friend to dinner at a really high-end restaurant.
Nightmare score (which I'm currently too terrified to post): Mess of tears as I stare dully at dream school's website and then blow my nose and go take a shower in attempt to drown self. Then eat my feelings at some place really cheap, that serves its food fried and lard-filled and greasy. Then go home and cry some more. Probably for days.

<170: Give up on life for about 10 hours and then get back on the reality train and move forward
171-173: Resigned acceptance of being possibly shutout of T-14
174-177: Research still EDing to UofM with my 2.98 GPA
178-180: take a well deserved nap. Then party like a slutty heiress

Re: Oct. LSAT takers: What will you do?
>173 - I don't know, I haven't been that excited ever in my entire life I don't think. I don't know. I might really cry.
173/172 - Sigh in relief, finish my ED Columbia app, and rest easy. Go to Zombie Walk tomorrow and eat small children with a smile on my face!
170-171 - Sigh indifferently because I got exactly the score I thought I would and give some serious consideration to waiting a year to apply. Eat children as described above but with less smiles.
167-169 - Stuck between applying to Cornell and accepting fate or waiting another year and re-taking for a second time. Go to Zombie Walk and be tempted to eat children but sadness will get the best of me and I will ultimately be a sad zombie.
166/165 - Stunned, upset, but still I know that I will be relieved to a certain extent because this is all over for now. Probably happier than a 167-169 would make me... don't really know why.
<165 - This one would shake up my ego a bit. Meh don't think this will happen. More likely to get above a 173 baring bubbling errors.

Re: Oct. LSAT takers: What will you do?
175+ -- My ego will swell to unprecedented levels. Champagne will be consumed, tears will be shed, and my screams will register on the campus seismograph.
170-175 -- After screaming I will eat drink and me merry. I will probably still experience a large swell in my ego.
168-169 -- I'll be relieved that the stress of not knowing is gone, accept that I got what I probably deserved and still be a little disappointed.
165-168 -- Extremely pissed at myself, probably accept that I suck at life and begrudgingly finish my applications.
160-165 -- Go into a prolonged depression, stay in undergrad another year, start looking at dates to retake.
<160 -- Probably shoot myself...
I'm really not sure what to expect tomorrow. My expectations fluctuate by the hour. Also, it's kinda sad how pissed/depressed I will be to receive scores that a ton of other people would kill for.

178+ Say "that's what I thought", and then move on with my life.
175-177 Say "I'll take it.", and then move on with my life.
172-174 Part of my soul would would die. I would never outlive the shame.
171- Lock myself in the room for weeks sit their weeping in the dark and be too afraid to show my face to the world. So nothing would change in my life really.

170+ Shoot myself because God loves me and will probably let me enter heaven.
167-169: Scream to the mountains, drive around and sing, DRINK MY HEART OUT.
165-166: Keep on smiling, and start submitting some apps.
162-164: Disappointment, but I won't retake. I'll just go to a school a few ranks lower with some $$. How bad could that be?
160-161: Ponder over a lot of vodka over whether or not I should retake
<160 Buy the logic bibles and register for the December LSAT. Its not the end of the world.

Re: Oct. LSAT takers: What will you do?
Long-term, this obviously isn't the case, but I'll be much more calm and content tomorrow if I get something at or below my prediction (175-7 range) than if I get any higher. Any higher and I need to stress about the chance of HYS, where I'd have an extremely slim shot; any lower and I can write those off and be fairly secure that I can go to one of CCN or Berkeley. And if I do much worse, well, law school is out.
So there's almost no score I can get back where I'm going to be happy, but anything beats the waiting.
Again though, a week or two from now, higher the better.
Answer to any case though is drink a lot, it's Friday and a bunch of my high school & college friends are in town for the rally.

Re: Oct. LSAT takers: What will you do?
ahh yes.. I remember waiting for my score...
I was at Borgata casino in AC when i got my score. I coudlnt even focus that morning.. everyone on TLS was talking about boxes being colored or whatever...... I was so happy that I almost shit in my pants when I got a 162........ Later that night I finished top 10 in a 200 person poker tournament.
