ED at Columbia?

Post by astruk » Wed Oct 13, 2010 10:37 pm

171 in June, cancelled October. 3.9 GPA but LSDAS GPA will probably be 3.79-3.81. Pretty good softs and I'm counting on good letters. Should I ED at Columbia? Its a top choice, but I'm hoping/holding out for some of the other top schools...

wrong thread, and with a 3.8 your likely to get waitlisted at columbia, even with ED. NYU may be a better choice for ED.

EDIT: and ya, your chances at HYS are 1% barring great soft we don't know (best selling author) or URM.

Your chances at any schools above Columbia (HYS) are pretty close to 0% barring URM status or some other rare boost. Don't hold back from sending an ED somewhere because of those three schools.
