Re: Worst Test Center Experience- Dumb Proctor
Give it a shot, but what else do you want them to do? Let you retake the test? Give you an extra point or two? Theres really nothing that they can do. Just live with the score. Chances are that you did well.

Wow that's terrible. I guess they can't do anything about it though as well. I have nothing constructive to say, I just wanted to extend my sympathy.

If that avatar is a picture of you and if the proctor was a male it may be him trying to hit on you.

Im sorry, but youre not going to get that. At all. There is zero chance. Report this issue to LSAC, but you wont get much, if anything, out of it.shanshan333 wrote:My mom said something crazy about thinking it was sexual harassment, which I think is ridiculous. And to the other person (sorry too lazy to quote), yes, I actually would like a few points. I hate to ask for that, I think it's pathetic, but it's the only way I really think they can make it fair. Like even if they gave me 2 points or 1 point, I'd be satisfied.
Good luck!

You can ask for it, but they're not going to give you any more points so don't get your hopes up.shanshan333 wrote:My mom said something crazy about thinking it was sexual harassment, which I think is ridiculous. Yeah no way you're getting points.
You should've told the guy to fuck off 'til the break.
Haha I might've screamed at the guy if he tried to interrupt me during the test.

Re: Worst Test Center Experience- Dumb Proctor
I know someone who had a similar situation. Proctor thought there was a problem with his information, asked him during a section if he could look at his scantron, check to make sure everything was okay, etc. The test taker made a complaint to LSAC, LSAC asked him to mail or fax in an official complaint with an explanation of what happened. The only thing LSAC was willing to do was to offer a free retake. There's no way you'll get extra points or anything else. Tough break, I have no idea how they train these proctors. Some are great, others can't seem to think straight.

dude I would cancel it and demand a refund. Just tell them how awestruck you are at their unprofessional process. like blah blah I thought the LSAT was a professional test. next time though I would politely tell the proctor to shut the f up and leave.

This has to be a joke... Really?shanshan333 wrote:Really? The same thing happened? That's crazy. Ugh, so I'm screwed? Will they let me take the Tuesday test? Is that the same test or do they give a different one, because if it's the same I'd doubt they'd let me take it again figuring I have an advantage- which, I would.

Just be prepared for the proctor to defend hinself. He might allege that he thought he saw some irregular activity or extra papers & used a social approach to check for any rules violations.

Re: Worst Test Center Experience- Dumb Proctor
For starters, you asked this question already and we answered that no it wont be the same test. It'll be a brand new test. Also, if LSAC lets you retake for free (which they may), it'll be the December test.shanshan333 wrote:What? Stupid to ask if it's the same one?

Most likely scenario, but the most likely of a fat chance in hell scenario. I can't see LSAC going out of their way to let you re-take. I feel for you, but I wouldn't get my hopes up.gdane5 wrote:For starters, you asked this question already and we answered that no it wont be the same test. It'll be a brand new test. Re: Worst Test Center Experience- Dumb Proctor
I know youre asking honest questions, but theyre just so silly. No LSAC will not let you see your score and then let you choose whether or not you want to cancel. This is just terrible. Imagine how many people would try to do this? Also, LSAC wont let you take the test on Tuesday because they ship out materials for people weeks in advance and they cant just "add you" at the last second. It doesnt work that way.shanshan333 wrote:Sorry, I didn't read the response to the question nor did I know it was answered. I don't know why they wouldn't let me take the Tuesday, otherwise trying to avoid putting my life off for a year is basically shot. I can't thank you guys enough though for the advice and telling me about other cases like this. I'm sure they won't try and make it right, you're probably right. I'm not going to cancel, but do you think they would possibly agree to letting me see my score and then decide if I want to cancel? Doesn't seem like I have too many options but to just accept what happened.
Just relax. Im sure you did fine. If its really bugging you, cancel. Cancel and retake in December. You dont need to put your life on hold for a year. You can apply to schools then.

Wow... people like you blow my mind. I'm not even an elitist. Stomping your feet and yelling "BUT THAT'S NOT FAIR" may get you a hug from mommy, but the rest of the world doesn't give a shit.
