Cancel or not?

Post by tazmolover » Sat Oct 09, 2010 3:54 pm

I'm expecting around a mid to low 160's. I practice around 167-170's.

I know I can do better. I just bombed one section (first section) horribly because my timing was totally off for some reason. Had to guess on 3 questions and rush on at least a few more.

Should I cancel or take the mid to low 160s and just retake?

I'm going to retake no matter what unless I hit at least a 168 so...

Unless something went terribly wrong you shouldn't cancel. It's very hard to tell exactly how you did after the actual test and with most schools counting the highest of your scores I think you are best off taking your chances. I thought that I completely bombed my actual test and I ended up about 2 points under my average.

Well I know for a fact I guessed blindly on 3 questions and wasn't sure about at least 3 others in one LR section

Bad enough? Maybe I guessed all correctly?

Uh, I'd love to be in your boat. I was PTing in the upper 160s as well and I ended up blind guessing on about 8 LG, 4 LR questions, and a couple RCs (not to mention I didn't even answer 1 RC). I still haven't decided to cancel, but I'm leaning toward it.
