To Cancel, or Not showing up
I Have been prepping since June. However, since I had to work all summer, as well as taking 18 credits My prepping is not what I wanted. I'm not exactly where I want to be for this upcoming week. My question is (my first time taking it btw) does it look the same on the LSAC report if I go, take it and cancel, as opposed to not going on saturday. It saddens me that I am not ready, but I have to be true to myself.

You can only take the LSAT 3 times in a period of 2 years.
An absent does not count towards your 3 tries.
A cancel does.
You don't want 2 cancels or 2 absents. One of either shouldn't be too bad.

Re: To Cancel, or Not showing up
My test center was changed from my preferred center.
Because of this I have to drive an additional hour and a half before the test to a different city to take it.
Can I just skip the test this weekend, take in December and addendum the reason for the absence?
I took it last June but was sick and scored low. Will this look fishy if in my addendum I reason my June test was low for being sick and my October test date I was absent because of a center change? I know a few students in my classes were having to email around looking for people to share the cost of renting a car to get to the testing center.

OP: I'd probably take it for the experience and cancel (you have a few DAYS to decide after the test).
I don't think you get any $$ back for absent (?) so might as well get something out of what you spent?

I wrote a big post about this very issue.
