SuperPrep C
Over the last 2 weeks I have gotten 158 on my last 4 tests (50, 51, Jun07, SP B (yesterday)). I took SuperPrep C today and got a 167, 82 raw. It had a lot to do with a -0 on games and the fairly generous curve. My question is what should I take away from this score? I am obviously happy but I laughed when I saw my score and its hard for me to take it seriously. I figured it was a pretty generous curve due to above average difficulty of the logic games.

Focus on raw scores, IMO.RFKScott wrote:Over the last 2 weeks I have gotten 158 on my last 4 tests (50, 51, Jun07, SP B (yesterday)). I took SuperPrep C today and got a 167, 82 raw. Re: SuperPrep C
Ya I try to look at raw scores mainly. but an 8 point bump in raw score after consistently hitting 74-75 seems a little odd. Hopefully it was a breakthrough and I will start showing a higher consistent score but I will probably remain skeptical until I repeat on few more tests.

This close to the test you should be focusing on newer test. Personally, all three of the superpreps were in the mid 170's but my test average is 168.

Ya I have been, I just wanted to finish all the tests in the SP book due to all the detailed explanations. I think they were very generous on the curve due to the LG's being more difficult than usual. LG are my best section and I got a -0. Still happy about my raw score of 82 so I view my scaled score more like a 162-163. Do you feel as if the LR or RC sections on these tests are a lot easier than more recent PTs 50-60?Patriot1208 wrote:This close to the test you should be focusing on newer test. Re: SuperPrep C
RC on the superprep tests was definitely easier. LR was just different which is easier for some and harder for others but I personally find it easier because the newer LR takes me less time to finish although it requires more air-tight logic. LG are definitely a breeze now which is not necessarily a good thing for people like us who excel at LGs.RFKScott wrote:Ya I have been, I just wanted to finish all the tests in the SP book due to all the detailed explanations. Ya, I don't know if LR was realy easier. But RC was for me. I got -1 on RC and I haven't done better then -4 on RC on any of the newer tests. But LG was also harder because I almost always go -0 on the new tests and I think I went -2 on Superprep.

Re: SuperPrep C
The superpreps have actually been my worst tests in terms of raw score, but the scaled score sits at about my PT average (at the time I took them). In all three tests, the logic games are what blew it. I guess the general consensus is that the superprep games are harder. Theres also a few LR questions on the test that I thought were quite questionable in terms of their wording.
The generous curve is probably in part due to LG difficulty. I think thats the reason why the curve is so much tighter on newer tests, since the LG got a bit easier, and its common for a lot of people to go -0 on that section.

Ya I took SuperPrep B and those games were brutal. Ill be back to taking more modern LSATs next week. Need to get that one thing in RC that makes it click.

Re: SuperPrep C
I took Superprep C when I first started preparing for the LSAT and got a 166 with only 10 correct on the games section. The RC and LR on those tests are easy as shit.I took SuperPrep C today and got a 167, 82 raw. It had a lot to do with a -0 on games and the fairly generous curve. Definitely focus on later PT's for LR/RC. The old tests are only useful for the games.
