It's the one with the music store and the new/used CD's.
I have problems with games like these where it difficult (for me at least) to symbolize and at the same time keep in my head all the different rules.
The used and new and the on sale or not on sale really messed me up on timing for this game and subsequently the entire section.
Can anyone who successfully solved this game give me how they diagrammed the rules and the deductions they made?
And in general in games like this and other games such with many sub-variables, how do you go around drawing the rules?
Also, is it just me or are the games section starting from PT 50+ not as likely to have as many sub-variables and confusing language as games like this one?

As much as I try to avoid Kaplan books, I like their strategy on this one.
It involves:
Capital letters for new
Lowercased letters for used
Instead of making a diagram and filling in spaces, simply write out:
JOPRS
joprs
circle those that are on sale and cross out the ones that aren't
Do the same with the indented rules
(P) --> (S)(s)
(J)(j) --> ~R ~r
...and so forth
Good god the last game on that PT really tied me up and beat the sh!t out of me

Yeh the last game and the music game were really hard for me. The last game I figured it out the 2nd time around though but this game was a bit harder.Blindc1rca wrote:As much as I try to avoid Kaplan books, I like their strategy on this one.

Do you think these games are harder than modern games? Or about the same?

Re: LG PT 31
Iduno, supposedly they got easier from PT46 (June '05) onward (pithypike's study guide even says it, not that it's an authoritative source or anything). Either way man games are my main weakness too and I want to be able to dominate the hell out of them come test day, no matter what they might throw at us; so I think it's beneficial to really go hard on these older ones.
