Don't worry, once you get into law school and the practice of law everyone will be really nice and you'll feel constantly rewarded for your efforts.

You're talking about -8 for one section, right? Not between two?

What study materials have you used?

?

If not, then good luck. I don't know that you'll get a whole lot of positive reinforcement for whining on here... It is tough- keep going. BTW, if you're starting off with -3 LG you don't have much to complain about compared to most people. LR you can definitely improve with further studying. If you're taking the Oct test you have plenty of time- results will vary.

Is there a type of question that gives you the most trouble/eats up the most time?

I did worse when I started out.

What you need to do is identify the question types that are giving you the most trouble. If you can't identify them, you need to get some LR study material.

do what 3jink said. I would also do more practice problems for this section,( make a section of 3 types, 8 questions each ) and go over it.

I am in the same boat.... you'll be fine.. still a lot of time left

I'm not done yet. Still in progress. However, my best PT was a 170. I"ve been scoring 167 - 169 consistently.

If you haven't already, buy a Kaplan Mastery book on Amazon. It breaks down problems by specific type, allowing you to focus on trouble areas. I noticed decent improvements when using it. High 150s is a fine starting point. You still have plenty of time to study. Keep investing yourself in the study process, the rewards are so worth all the grief.

actually the mastery messed up some potential preptests..... so... im just tackling logical reasoning as a whole.... hetting used to the shifts...... i feel comfortable... but once that clock is on i crumble..... guess thats just the lsat....

I'm pretty much your twin. I got a 161 in June with -0LG, -6RC, -19LR. I averaged around -8 during my prep as well. I finally got it down to around -13 total before the test, then proceeded to get like 7 of the last 9 questions wrong on my 2nd LR section (5th overall). I think my biggest problem was just not reading closely enough and/or over thinking things.

Do you get any one type consistently wrong or do you just fuck up 1-2 of the easy ones and ~6 of the hard ones like I do?

I don't know about Kaplan mastery, but Powerscore has a very limited number of LR questions in their bible. I think they do that so to ruin as few potential PTs as possible.

It looks like you're posting this late. Perhaps, go to bed (or take a nap, depending on your time zone) and try to evaluate things from a fresher perspective tomorrow. Good luck.

Forget about Practice tests for now. Work through the sections and question types that really give you problems. You'll start seeing things clearer when you do them seperately.

Good luck!
