Kaplan Course Books? Mastery Lesson Book?
I just got a hold of the Kaplan Course Books. Anyone use these? Are these good? It includes some lesson books/practice books/mastery book.
I went through the logic games/logical reasoning bibles before the June LSAT, not sure if I want to go through them again. I got pretty good with games through them, but I am still awful with Logical Reasoning, I probably didn't go through it as painstakingly as I should have. Will the Kaplan Course books provide a good alternative to start studying for October since I have already gone through Powerscore and don't want to again?

The words "Kaplan" and "Mastery" do not belong in the same title.
Kaplan books are garbage compared to the Powerscore bibles. I can't say the same about the Kaplan or PS courses because I've never taken them. I can only say this:
Powerscore books > Kaplan books

Eeeesh with the Kaplan hate! Anyway, I'm taking their course and find the books to be helpful for practice. I find their complete explanations to be especially useful. I do, though, want the Powerscore bibles to supplement my studying. That said, I think any new studying material you can get your hands on will help; redoing stuff you have already done probably is not beneficial.

These are the books associated with the course....not their retail books that you can buy on amazon; you can only get these if you take the course/or get them from someone who has taken the course3|ink wrote:The words "Kaplan" and "Mastery" do not belong in the same title.

Powerscore LG bible is far and away better than kaplan. But the kaplan smart reports and mastery practices are just as good as the other powerscore books I believe. And I own both.txsunshine wrote:Eeeesh with the Kaplan hate! Anyway, I'm taking their course and find the books to be helpful for practice. I find their complete explanations to be especially useful. My mistake. I was speaking of the retail books. I know nothing about Kaplan's course material. However, I wouldn't trust any organization owned by The Washington Post.nillumin wrote:These are the books associated with the course....not their retail books that you can buy on amazon; you can only get these if you take the course/or get them from someone who has taken the course3|ink wrote:The words "Kaplan" and "Mastery" do not belong in the same title.

Powerscore books > Kaplan books. according to Pithypike the Kaplan Mastery Book is supposed to be helpful.

I've purchased The Big Orange Book (forerunner to the Kaplan Mastery) per Pithypike's reccomendation: http://www.top-law-schools.com/forums/v ... =6&t=41657
Purchase of the Kaplan Mastery book second-hand via sites like Amazon.com is more economical than purchasing the commercially avaliable sorty-by-type LSAT books.
Though time-consuming, It was easy enough to bundle and sort LSAT games by type from their PrepTests. I gave up sorting logical reasoning games by type, and was too indifferent to even sort the reading comprehension passages. In one easy cost-efficient package, Kaplan Mastery does all of this for me! I bite the bullet and invested another $40.00 towards my LSAT armory.
It's pretty cool that you came about the Kaplan course books. Complete sets sell for quite a bit online.
