RC bible?
A lot of people have said it's not really worth it. But for someone like me, who is consistently getting almost every question right but then running out of time with 5 or so questions left, will it help me speed up my time?

Re: RC bible?
Just to throw the information out:
PS came out with a 2nd edition of the book in 2010. Wondering if there were meaningful updates between the two, I browsed the PS website and the book's Amazon.com entry. Couldn't find a blurb or comment differentiating the two editions.
I then looked to the page count, and saw that both the 1st and 2nd edition of the RCB are equal to 360 pages. From this, I'm supposing that the 2nd edition only updated the first book's typos and grammatical gaffes.

I thought it was poor, and if you are getting the questions right, then don't bother. It doesn't even attempt to help with speed of reading.Patriot1208 wrote:A lot of people have said it's not really worth it. You should take a fuck load of RC passages one after another timed to 8 min 30 secs. It's helps you pace yourself.

Just read. A lot. Preferably dense material in a variety of subjects - a lot of people recommend the Economist.

Re: RC bible?
Generally, about 3 minutes a passage with highlighting the passage and maybe taking a small note on the side of the paragraph. Natural science ones sometimes take me longer, and some of the law ones/social sciences take less than that.Anaconda wrote:how long does it take you to read each passage?

If your only problem is timing, you are golden. Reading the Economist is good, just make sure that whatever you read, you focus on it and actually understand what you are reading instead of letting your mind wander.
