Hello Folks!
Inspired by Project 180, I have decided to setup a little thread of my own to keep myself accountable, get advice and encouragement from all the gentle souls at TLS.
I am done for the day for now, but should be updating everyone with my daily schedule et al.

I'm also inspired by Project 180. Good luck OP! I'm starting my 5-month journey now as well. I will simply try my best to do what I can everyday.
I'm inspired by this quote from the late John Wooden:
"Success comes from knowing that you did your best to become the best that you are capable of becoming."

Re: 180-Deux
I'm taking the test in October, but I did take a Prep Course with Power Score in April, so I've done a decent amount of work.Declsatkiller- you shall be slayed!
I'm just gonna go over my method of study, as it will be a little different from those who are basing it on their Bibles. The Power Score course has all the questions from the released LSAT's, although only 13 are in Test Form. The rest are part of the homework, lessons and practice drills.
I have done most of these questions, and am starting to go over the explanations for the questions. It's taking a lot of time, as I pretty much have to do the questions again, but I am skipping over the concepts on which I have gotten perfect scores in the practice tests. So, I skipped numbers and percentages, as well as Parallel Flaw and Parallel Reasoning.
Today, I have gone over all the Principle Questions, as well as the the POI ones.So far, so good.I haven't tested myself, but I can see a significant difference in my concept of the Principle Questions.
I'll try and cover the Science Passages in more detail this evening. This is the only passage that has consistently given me problems.I am getting about -4 in RC, and usually Science is -3, so it is THAT BAD.
Also, one questions for y'all.I have been told on countless occasions that one should read the stimulus before going over the question stem. However, I still feel that I have more of an advantage, and generally know what to expect when I go over the stem first.Anyone else feel the same way?

Re: 180-Deux
I am not updating this thread as frequently as I intended.I think it will stay this way though.I am reasonably satisfied with my progress, so I don't want to distract myself by lurking on the forums too much.
July 15th-July 25th:
I finished a review of all the concepts in LR that were giving me trouble.Went over MBT questions, as well as flaw/method of reasoning.Didn't too much RC, but I did do quite a bit of Games.
I went through the Odd One Out Games (I think they have a different name in the Bible- the forgotten few?). I followed all that up with a practice test today (#53).Disappointing score, 169.I am still pretty much where I was close to 2 months ago, the score has only increased by 2 points.
I have one very important question to ask all of you, as this is something that has been concerning me quite a bit now.I have probably written about 7 practice tests now, and I find that I just don't have the requisite concentration required to straw away from silly mistakes for the whole length of the test.I am pretty much breezing through 90% of the Games Questions, but end up with a score between -1 and -3 because of the silly mistakes/ assumptions etc.Furthermore, in RC, I frequently go through 4 sections without a single mistake, and almost always only make a mistake or two on the science passage. On the practice tests, however, my score on RC is never above -3.I find that with the science passage in particular (they are my least favorite), I end up making a couple of silly mistakes.
My LR section is probably the worst in terms of the silly mistakes.Whereas I have a genuine weakness in the Science Passage (RC), or get bogged down on a difficult game in LG, I have no such inherent conceptual weakness in LR.The only major weakness I had was in the conditional statements.I have gone through that particular section in some detail in the past two weeks, and I have almost perfected it now.Despite all this, I regularly end up with a score of as low as -7 in LR.Pretty bad, I know.
The reason I am a little concerned is because I am averaging about 10 absolutely avoidable mistakes per test.It hasn't gone down in a while. My question is, is this something to do with the lack of practice, or do I need to focus on concentrating more?
I feel it is a bit more of the latter, as I find my mind wandering off, especially during the LR section. Do you guys have any advice?
Much appreciated.

Re: 180-Deux
I used to have a lot of the careless mistakes too. I think all the studying between the three sections diminishes it over time though, and makes you careful without thinking about it. I always put a star next to except or least questions and circle easy to miss words in LR if they're important to a question, usually qualifying words like most, some etc. It might just take time, or maybe something is interfering with your focus. Either way you'll probably fix it well before test day.
I would kill for a -1 on games.
