GOT 3 EXTRA POINTS ON JUNE LSAT BECUASE OF LA EARTHQUAKE!!!!

Dear Mr. xxxxxxxxx:
This is in response to your letter concerning the June 2010 Law School Admission Test (LSAT) held at xxxxxxxxxxxx
LSAC administers the LSAT at hundreds of locations around the world. LSAC staff and local test supervisors (who are not LSAC employees) make every effort to provide a suitable test-taking environment. However, we cannot guarantee that conditions will be optimal at all testing sites and, in no case will LSAC be held responsible for test-center conditions beyond its control.
The test supervisor and employees from LSAC’s Newtown PA office, have reported that with about five minutes remaining in Section five there was an earthquake. LSAC regrets the uncontrollable situation and the distraction this could have caused.
For tests administered in California, LSAC has adopted the policy developed in 2008 by the California State Bar Examination when assessing compensatory points for an exam affected by an earthquake of a magnitude less than 5.0 that does not cause a power outage at the testing center.
Because of your expressed concern, we have placed a temporary hold on the release of your score to allow you extra time to consider reporting it or canceling it. Please note, if you request cancellation, your records will show "No Reportable Score, Candidate Action" and that indication will remain on your LSAT record. If you choose to release your score, you will be awarded three compensatory raw points and your score will become a permanent part of your record and cannot be cancelled at your request for any reason. LSAC makes no exceptions, under any circumstance, to the policies of reporting or canceling scores.
Should you decide to cancel the score, LSAC will register you for the October 2010 LSAT at no additional charge to you. Your response must be recorded on page two of this email, and received by LSAC no later than 3 weeks from the date of this email, or your score will automatically be released to you and to the law schools to which you apply, and all options will be rescinded. It is your responsibility to ensure your response is received by LSAC before the deadline. Responses via email will not be accepted.
Should you choose, LSAC can include a letter in your file to inform the law school(s) to which you apply of the circumstances under which you took the test and your concern of their effect on your score. Please indicate, on page two, if you wish LSAC’s letter to be provided.
Thank you for taking the time to write.
Sincerely,
Test Administration

Re: GOT 3 EXTRA POINTS ON JUNE LSAT BECUASE OF LA EARTHQUAKE!!!!
I haven't got my raw score yet, but I called them to make sure and they said that YES I will have three points added to my raw-score and I can decide not to have a letter accompany my test. So it's basically three free points. AND the lady I spoke with said that if the +3 raw points puts me at a score that was not possible for that test, they will round my score UP!
It's a little early to celebrate, I just faxed them and they said Saturday until i get my score email, but things are looking up in a big way!

How, precisely, could +3 raw points put you at a score that's impossible for that test unless it put you over perfect, in which case how could they round UP?LSAC Proctor wrote:I haven't got my raw score yet, but I called them to make sure and they said that YES I will have three points added to my raw-score and I can decide not to have a letter accompany my test. Unless I'm making a huge mistake and am dumb it's only CURVED scores that are impossible on a given test.
I believe that you just trollfailed big time with that one.

I don't have anything in my LSAC account to screencap but this is very real. Well worth ten extra days of agony.

Okay. Now explain how it's possible to have a raw score that doesn't match up to a curved score and thus requires rounding.Thomas Jefferson wrote: OP said score, not raw score, would be rounded up, if needed.

I don't get it. The other day I started a flame about space-time law and it lasted for around 60 seconds. Here, this guy flames repeatedly and has no problems.

Dummying up a pic won't help now. You've been caught on the comma and you've been caught on the raw score thing which is just demonstrably mathematically wrong. It's time to abandon troll. I hope you didn't spend too much time writing the dummy email. The next time you're bored and want to amuse yourself I recommend cat videos on youtube. Or masturbation. If your micropenis allows it.LSAC Proctor wrote:How do I attach a pic?Thomas Jefferson wrote:So black-out your personal info in MS Paint.
